I am working very hard to keep all of our websites updated and programs promoted (including promoting events and individuals' endeavors). If you can contribute in anyway, please do. Our monthly costs our over $300. Donations go toward website and promo costs and anything over that goes towards our community assistance programs. There are other big programs we're working on currently which I will be posting info up on very soon. Please help me out if you can! We want to break even at the least. This is a non-profit organization. We don't aim to live off of this, but we need to be able to keep it up and make it grow. Additional funds come in through from purchasing LARP Alliance T-shirts and products. But to be honest, we have only received a couple of small donations - though much appreciated. The total donations so far are $30.

Our last roadtrip to bring 20+ NPCs to a NorCal LARP event cost us $850+ to do and we only were able to cover some of that. We also donate weapons to needy players and big events that can use high quality promo items to boost their attendance. Additionally, we have our own supply of weapons and costumes that need touchups and replacing which we loan out for fighter practices and games.
So we're always in the hole and working extra hard at our jobs and sidejobs to support this in hopes that it wil eventually pay off and support itself with the help of the community. We are looking into insurance right now that we could offer to events that run under the LARP Alliance name. We are getting our non-profit status made official. We are creating a new program called LARP Quests which offers small line course adventures to the public to bring in new people using familiar, creative, and fun environments. There are numerous other LARP promo events we hold to make more people aware, educated, and feel supported.
We also look to be able to set up a travel group soon to go to a Euro LARP game or convention. Likewise, we also look to be able to set up a travel group from another country to be able to come out to the US to play with us.
You support and contributions (monitary, suggestions, physical assistance) is very much appreciated more than you know and we want to be able to give back more than we receive as always!

Hi Everyone, we had to take seth to get his eyes checked today becasue when he got a physical at his reg. doctor they had reason to think that he might need glasses! I was heart broken and just kept hopeing and preying that he wouldn't need them. Although we tried some frames on and he looks soo flipplin cute in them, it still worried me because kids can be soo mean in school now a days! So we went to the eye doc and he says that seth has perfect vision! He test a lil above the average of a 4 year old sho whewww! I feel so much better! Here is a few pics from his very first eye exam!
I fell into a period in late August where I was going back to old habits. There were several days that I was in a compulsive eating mode. I felt I could not control myself and I would start eating from 6:00 am to about 9:00 pm. I was on a carb craving attack. Crackers, cookies, sweets, and salty snacks. I told my DD that I was on a "Search and Destroy mission". Food was the enemy and I was going to destroy every bit of it that was around. The band did not help when I was eating little bits every 20 mins. Over the period of these several days I gained 6 lbs. I started to fall into the "I am always a failure" mode. My negative self talk was "you can't control yourself therefore you are no good."
I was fortunate that I was journaling my emotions and my compulsion. I was able to look back over the 2 week period and see that I was out of control. Instead of allowing myself to fall into a major depression and pity party I decided to start over. Start new. I looked back and saw that I was skipping some of my meds. I wasn't getting enough sleep and I was letting stress get to me. I haven't found the "one" trigger for the episode but I have found the desire to recommit to myself.
I have made a goal to stay 100% on plan for the month of September with only 1 day as a "cheat" day. I am going to allow myself one meal of whatever I want on September 15 for my granddaughters birthday. I have made a goal to exercise at least 5 days a week and give myself permission not to work out on Sunday if I don't feel like it. I am giving myself permission to take a nap on the weekend if I need it instead of stressing about work, home, kids, etc. So far so good. I am taking each day, thinking about how I want to approach the day and following through. Plans do change and I am giving myself permission to change with the day. Nothing is written in stone.
I do have a short term goal to lose 15 lbs by the end of October. With perserverance and the desire to succeed, I can make my goal. I am not going to look at my long term goal because I can't visualize it right now. I can visualize 15 lbs. That is the picture in my head that I want to achieve. Wish me luck.
Gwen Stefani looked fabulous making her way into the hospital in LA yesterday, the first time we've spotted her out and about since giving birth to baby Zuma a few weeks ago. Her boys Gavin and Kingston have been having plenty of their own fun while Gwen spends quality time with the newest member of the family, but we can't wait to see them together. Knowing how much they love their weekend outings, it won't be long before we get a glimpse of the fashionable foursome.

Most of us have seen HoHan's bare chichis. And HoHan knows this and that's why she's decided to spare us from seeing more of her nakedness. Page Six reports that once again she's turned down a $700,000 offer to pose completely nekkid for Playboy's 55th Anniversary issue.
Playboy's creative consultant said he had hoped to pay tribute to Ann Margaret in "Kitten with a Whip," which happens to be one of HoHan's favorite movies. Playboy will have to find another, because HoHan isn't doing it. Her rep said: "If there's nudity, then the answer's no . . . She's not going down the [New York] magazine road again."
I'm shocked her mom allowed her to turn down $700k. After HoHan nixed the offer, she probably knocked on Hef's door and presented him with Ali Lohan holding a fake ID.

Here is another installment of "my thoughts". And today I am talking about Ric Flair from a request of a friend of mine. Ric Flair is known as the best wrestler that has ever set foot inside a wrestling ring. Ric Flair is a sixteen time world heavyweight champion, the most that someone had ever got to. Maybe the biggest achievement or the biggest thing people will remember in Ric Flair's historic career is his title wins. Ric started in the promotion NWA and got most of his world heavyweight titles there. He was part of the biggest stable called "The Four Horse Men". He later went to WCW and was there through thick and thin. He also won world titles there too. He faced Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Dusty Rhodes, and many, many other great performers. He faced almost every single star of his time. He also ran the backstage side of WCW. After WCW went to its ultimate demise, Ric came to WWE. He brought his legacy there and preformed some more things to make his career bigger and better. He became GM, fought for the best stable of the time that sparked two future stars of this business. He was in Evolution and partnered up with HHH, Randy Orton, and Batista. He is called "the dirtiest player in the game" and is called the "nature boy". My thoughts on this great superstar is this, simply he is one of the greatest stars in professional wrestling history. He has certainly accomplished historic, monumental heights that maybe no one could recreate. I said in another "My thoughts on" blog about HHH and that he can beat Ric flair's championship record. He is at 12 and only needs four to tie it. Certainly he will beat it at one time or another, so really many people will forget Flair even more. Do I think that he is the best ever? Well I think that he was very good, not just good but he is ONE of the best, but I have to say that he isn't the best ever. Really the writers make stars win titles so the writers made Ric win the titles and set it as a record. Ric is an astonishing athlete and a very great fighter but not the best. I think that Kurt Angle is better, if not the best. Look, he is an only Olympic gold medalist in professional wrestling history. That is something that no one else is. That means he is the all time best, in my mind. I don't want to make people mad or angry with my thoughts about this as I will talk about angle another time. Ric Flair just retired this year and it was one moment that I will never forget. I saw his last match at Wresltemania and it was a very good performance that he gave. In my mind, Ric is in the record books no doubt about it. He is in the WWE hall of fame so simply that is worth something to the star that is in there. Really Ric's time is over now. I hate to see him go but he had his time and now the young stars have their chance. No one will ever be A Ric Flair. Can anyone recreate his career? NO! Can someone surpass his titles? YES! But without a question in my mind, Ric Flair is like no other wrestler and there will not be another Ric Flair. To be the man, you have to beat the man. Many people beat him, but none are or were him. Ric had a tremendous career but it's time for the fans to move on and think back at all of the great times Ric Flair had succeeded.
